December, Lakeside

A set of images taken on the last Sunday and last day of 2022. Some friends and I visited an area of Lake Lewisville that gave us a unique perspective of the water. We brought with us an instrument, a speaker, and spent the last hours watching the sun set. Some of us, including myself, never frequented an area as such, and it brought a sense of bliss and comfort. The boats began to disappear into the horizon as the sky began to darken. The calming waters gave us a moment of peace, letting us reflect on the highs and lows of the year. Despite the idea coming to us nearly last minute, the time spent watching the sun set seemed to stretch infinitely. A quiet evening to conclude the celebrations, the reunions, the joys, the heartbreaks, and the memories and bonds that brought a long year to a close.
